Unlocking Time. Amplifying Humanity.

We wanted to save one billion minutes of busywork across healthcare and reduce the barriers that kept people from reaching the care they needed.

  • We sought to understand how automation and digital workforces would empower teams and, together, make healthcare more accessible to all.
  • We created technology that drove both purpose and profit: reducing burnout, cutting costs, and improving patient relationships.
  • We chose to build alongside people (internal teams, customers, patients and partners) who shared our worldview: healthcare should work for all of us.

Our Origins

The work started before Omaiven.

Jerold McDonald was working inside healthcare administration, leadership and operations, using technology and early automation to rethink how work got done.

Ani Bagepalli was building across artificial intelligence, machine learning, natural language processing and other emerging technologies.

In 2018, those paths converged around a question: What if we applied that intelligence to the everyday work of healthcare?

Omaiven was built to find out.

Jerold McDonald

Co-Founder & CEO

Jerold is a healthcare veteran with extensive leadership experience across process improvement, change management, and enterprise technical implementation. Before founding Omaiven, he directed onboarding teams at athenahealth, consulted at Huron Consulting with many of America's Best Hospitals, and led operations for service lines and clinics at Houston Methodist.

He's passionate about community service and building a more equitable world.

Ani Bagepalli

Co-Founder & CTO

Ani's engineering background spans decades, having built complex technical projects for IBM Watson, Motorola, and Rubicon Labs. His expertise includes AI, ML, NLP, IOT.

A tinker and artist at his core, he loves painting and restoring old computers so the people who need them most have functional machines.

Fun fact: Ani loves the adventure of finding the best tacos in every city he visits.
